Legislative Initiatives on Tax and Property Privatization Debated

At September 27 sitting moderated by Babken Tunyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code authored by the NA deputies Artak Manukyan, Varazdat Karapetyan, Babken Tunyan.

According to Artak Manukyan, the goal of the bill is to promote the activation of the financial market, including the securities’ market, which is consonant with the Government programme.

The MPs who had taken part in the exchange of ideas mainly were for it. As a result of debate, the draft law was endorsed for being included in the draft agenda of the upcoming regular sittings.

The draft law on Amending the RA Law on the State Property Privatization for 2017-2020 authored by the Government was debated in the first reading and endorsed.

During the debate the participants expressed their opinions, and as a result, the Committee endorsed the draft law.

The draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Lotteries authored by the NA deputies Alen Simonyan, Naira Zohrabyan and Sipan Pashinyan.

The debates of the two bills on the tax sphere were postponed.

A Working Group on Tourism was created in the Standing Committee, where MPs from all factions can be included in it.
